A group of volunteers from St. Matthews CPC in Burleson TX came to offer their building skills to help rebuild on the Peninsula. They did a wonderful job finishing the much needed office space to house the Bolivar Small Business Coalition. We are now searching for a few volunteers to finish the interior painting. Call Maryanne Rogers if you wish to help at
409-939-0666.

BSBC and FEMA sponsored a coastal workshops at the Joe Fagart Center in Crystal Beach with 30 builders attending on June 29 and 10 builders and engineers attending on July 27. The topics were Homebuilders Guide to Coastal Construction and Recommended Residential Construction for the Gulf Coast. If we get a request from enough people we will get with FEMA to give us another class date in August.
In August the BSBC with EPA will be sponsoring an Energy and Green building workshop . We will forward more information after we have a set date.
